This week we… got physical
This week we played games involving shapes, numbers and counting. We played another game with Polly; this time all her objects began with ‘p’ and we had to work out which one she wanted. We also made some beautiful owl pictures which we will look at again later in the term.
We enjoyed a trip to the park, football field and Skate Park. These trips are great for strengthening muscles and hitting our targets for physical activity. We also went for a walk to the Co-op as the children showed an interest in making their very own pasta. They worked hard to write the shopping list and watched a video of a chef cooking pasta before tackling it themselves. The end results were a bit hit and miss with the children at snack, but has prompted some more cooking ideas.
We have spent lots of time looking after our vegetable garden with Sue. Our potatoes, onions and beans are growing well. The strawberries are being consumed with delight and often not making it as far as the snack table. J
From next week we will be selling raffle tickets for some lovely prizes to be drawn at the picnic on the last day of term, i.e. Friday 20th July.
Next week Thursday, the Rising 5’s group photo will take place at Pre-School at 1pm, so please make sure you are here.
We are hoping to squeeze in a BBQ before the end of term so keep a look out for our email.
